Tom and Anna Grawbowski opened TAGS Tackle Box in 2016 across the street from its current location. It was the fulfillment of a lifelong dream of Tom’s. They have loved running the store since its inception and serving its continually growing customer base. Tom knows the area, the state, and the region, when it comes to freshwater and saltwater fishing, because he’s an avid fisherman himself.
Tom is never too busy to answer a question, or provide guidance to those who come into the store. That’s true whether you are new to the sport or a seasoned veteran. He keeps up on the latest happenings in the sport and through discussions with his customers strives to provide what they are looking for to help them catch fish!
With the onset of the website in April of 2024, Tom realized the desire to create more than just a business website but a place of community and family for his customers and others who fish the waters of CT and Long Island Sound. So the website also offers a host of forums to discuss fishing, brag about catches, share tips, classifieds to buy and sell, and a whole host of other categories for people to post in and carry out discussions.
